Geneseo's Monday Night Jazz Ensemble - that's a whole lot of VIBE.

Unbelievable vibe this weekend with the Geneseo Jazz students! I had a wonderful time upstate with some really talented young musicians. I can't believe how fortunate I've been this year - being able to work with folks like this is a real blessing. I learn so much from them. And I hope they pick up a little something from me, too.
I'm still somehow jet lagged from Alaska - no recovery time, and then allergies... but right now, I'm home, enjoying the sounds of the rain, playing a few long tones before preparing a little family dinner.
I love stepping back and looking at my life. How far I've come not only musically or career-wise, but in my choices. Who I choose to be with. Who I work with. How I can make the best of any situation instead of panic or complain about it. And it seems, the more I embrace happiness, the more I find. Even when I'm tired, or sick, or sick and tired, I know the truth about this life I've been given. And I can always find a smile and a sigh. Usually a giggle, too!
More excitement on the horizon. I was thrilled to see the airing of Train on Rachael Ray - made me happy to remember a beautiful day with a wonderful band. http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/show/segments/view/train-week-day-four-50-ways-say-goodbye/
Happy Rainy Sunday! Life is good - enjoy yours and find your smiles, sighs and giggles!
